In Martin Luther’s explanation of the First Article of the Creed, he states that “[God] richly and daily provides me with all that I need to support this body and life.” In other words, God not only gives us the gift of eternal life, but He also cares for our earthly, human life. As Christian witnesses, we are called to extend such human care to those around us.

By bearing witness to the hope of God’s plan for our salvation, we offer the ultimate answer to life’s biggest questions. However, in sharing that eternal hope, we should not deny when people need earthly, human care.
Witnessing to people in need of human care means caring for the whole person. We work to meet their physical needs while also meeting their spiritual needs by sharing the Gospel.
