Witnessing in Specific Contexts

Witness is the work we have been given to do as the church scattered. We have opportunities to speak of Jesus with the people in our everyday lives who are our friends, co-workers, neighbors, family members, etc.

As we engage the people in our everyday lives, we need to be mindful of the specific contexts in which they are living. What are their current attitudes toward religion? Did they grow up in the church? What events or issues are going on in their lives that would affect their worldview and willingness to hear the Gospel? Every person’s context is unique, and so should be our approach to witnessing to that person.
