Worship Planning

Worship is at the very heart of the Christian life because it is at the heart of God: “For the Father seeks such to worship Him.” John 4:23. That is, God seeks those who will receive His gifts, live from them in communion with Him, and join in the joy of praising Him. Fostering a culture of excellence in the presentation and reception of those gifts which God provides us in the Divine Service requires thoughtful and careful planning. Here are some resources that can help with that task.

The worship of the Church centers around the reading, hearing, and sacramental reception of the Word of God. The following resources are keyed to the lectionary series (one-year or three-year) used in our Synod for the disciplined reading of the Scriptures and the proclamation of the whole counsel of God for our salvation.
