The Christian religion didn’t come from our own heads. Christianity comes from Christ Jesus, our Cornerstone, and from the very words God Himself has given to His people in the prophetic and apostolic Scriptures that point us to Him. We “contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude). As a result, we aren’t nearly as concerned with saying something “new” as we are with saying faithfully what God in Christ has commanded and promised. For this reason, there’s no shame in following the path others have given into the Scriptures and their teaching and to say and sing what’s been said many times before. The studies and resources here are perfect for giving direction and content for a solid and faithful Bible Study. You’ll also find resources for understanding and appreciating the Scriptures and the poetry drawn from them that we sing in the Divine Service.
