It is vital for Christians to read the living and active Word of God. It can be especially important to do in groups where reading and discussion can lead to a deeper understanding of God and all God has done for us. One way many churches do this is to bring small groups together around shared experience and interest.
Women’s Bible studies allow for Christian women to find faithful support and Christ-centered friends who will dig into God’s Word together. Any Bible study can be done within a group of women! Women’s Bible studies do not have to look any different than other groups of like-minded people who gather around Scripture. However, there may be some studies designed with that particular lens in mind.
It’s important to understand what it means to be a Christian woman and the Bible serves as the ultimate standard for this. Women’s Bible studies are written by some of Concordia Publishing House’s bestselling and well-known authors such as Deb Burma, Donna Snow, Sharla Fritz, and many more.
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is an official auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 77 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions. They offer a variety of resource on their webpage, including Bible studies designed for use in women’s groups.
